ELIZABETH, NJ (November 06, 2012) Hayward Pool Products just went to the head of the class with SharkVAC™ XL, a smart robotic pool cleaner. The new SharkVAC XL now cleans both pool floors and walls efficiently while using up to 94 percent less energy than traditional pressure cleaners.

SharkVAC XL’s sleek, low-profile design is distinctive among pool cleaners because of its easy top-access. Quick debris removal and easy clean-up is assured because it does not have to be turned over to be emptied. Additionally, SharkVAC XL features two fine porosity filter elements that pick up the finest debris and are a snap to clean. Pool owners simply remove the elements and rinse them with a garden hose. For pools with larger debris, SharkVAC XL offers a Spring Cleanup Filter accessory that is disposable.

Because SharkVAC XL runs separately from pools’ pump and filter systems, the 3-hour cleaning cycle is conducted with optimal efficiency. This robotic cleaner cleans all residential pool surfaces -- gunite, vinyl or fiberglass – up to 20 x 40 feet.

SharkVAC XL comes equipped with an out-of-water sensor that prevents it from starting when it is connected to a timer and is out of the water -- protecting the cleaner. Plus, a beach-entry sensor detects when it’s climbing out of water, alerting the cleaner to reverse its direction.

The new SharkVAC XL comes with a two year warranty and is available with or without a convenient caddy cart.
