ELIZABETH, NJ (November 4, 2014) Hayward® announces the introduction of HydroRiteTM UVO3, setting a new standard in water quality utilizing UV, Ozone and Advanced Oxidants to drastically reduce the threat of deadly recreational waterborne illnesses. Used as a supplementary disinfectant system as recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s (CDC) Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC) guidelines, HydroRite delivers a powerful combination of disinfectants that will inactivate more than 99.9 percent of harmful chlorine-resistant microorganisms. HydroRite is NSF-certified and is the most advanced all-in-one UV and ozone system available in the commercial and residential swimming pool markets today.
Designed as a convenient and affordable water quality solution for commercial facilities, HydroRite is a low risk investment in a high risk environment. "In recent years there has been an alarming proliferation of chlorine-resistent waterborne pathogens, particularly in wading pools and interactive water features," said General Manager of Hayward Commercial Pool Products Patrick Sweeney. “Hayward created HydroRite to help pool managers proactively annihilate this threat while addressing the guidelines put forth in the rising MAHC.”
Sweeney added that commercial pool operators/managers who use the HydroRite system will reduce chloramine levels, improve bather comfort and decrease chlorine consumption by up to 50 percent or more – thereby significantly reducing their operating costs, and extending the life of salt chlorination cells.
HydroRite UVO3 features include:
- Advanced water treatment system combining three powerful disinfectants
- Inactivates more than 99.9 percent of harmful chlorine-resistant microorganisms such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia
- Reduces irritating chloramines by 50 percent or more, improving indoor air quality and enhancing the swimming experience
- Reduces overall chemical usage and chlorine demand by 50 percent or more, reducing operating costs and extending the life of salt chlorination cells
- Compact design, single vessel and controller for easy install into new and/or existing pools
- Ideal for residential or commercial pools, spas, spray parks and water features
- Simple plumbing, available in residential 2” model, or commercial 2” or 4” models
- NSF/ANSI Standard 50 Certified
According to Sweeney, HydroRite UV03 is the perfect complement to Hayward’s Saline C 6.0 and pH/ORP/TDS CAT Controllers for total efficiency and maximum control. When these products are installed together, this complete sanitization system becomes an advanced automated water quality solution. He explained that commercial pool operators and managers can also take advantage of the convenience of remote monitoring and audit tracking of multiple pools via Hayward’s PoolComm.
