ELIZABETH, NJ (March 14, 2011) — Hayward® Pool Products announced that Jim Weaks has been named senior vice president of sales and marketing. In this newly-created position, Weaks will have leadership responsibilities for the pool division’s domestic sales and marketing efforts.

With more than 30 years of executive management experience in commercial equipment and consumer durable goods serving the foodservice industry, Weaks is uniquely qualified to assume the sales and marketing leadership role for Hayward Pool Products, according to Hayward Industries Chief Operating Officer Larry Silber. “Jim’s experience in multi-channel distribution, including direct-to-dealer and two-step distribution as well as his strategic planning and product development experience, will be invaluable to Hayward,” he said.

Most recently, Weaks served as vice president, sales and marketing for Illinois-based Scotsman Ice Systems. Previously, he held executive positions with Hamilton Beach/Proctor Silex and Hobart Corporation.

Weaks holds an M.B.A. degree from Ohio University.
