Position Overview:
Based in our North Kingstown, RI facility, the Senior Electronic Engineer will be responsible for printed circuit electronic design, component and technology sourcing, and circuit reliability verification. Will have a focus on power circuits such as variable frequency motor drive and power supplies.
Major Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Conceive and design power circuits for control systems, chlorinators, VFD for motor control, and high brightness LED systems circuits include mixed-mode analog, sensing + microcontroller circuits
- Collaborate with Product Management, mechanical, software and test engineering functions to develop product designs in pool and spa industry. Current products are shown at www.haywardnet.com.
- Provide high level and detailed project work-breakdowns
- Develop and execute design validation tests
- Use simulation tools
- Research and apply important technologies and industry trends
Experience/Qualifications:
- 7+ years in switch mode power electronic design plus strong broad analog design experience.
- Strong experience on EMC testing and remediation for power electronics.
Education:
- 4-year Bachelor or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
